Presente Continuo
En inglés, para expresar acciones que están ocurriendo ahora mismo o que continúan de forma temporal, utilizamos el tiempo Present Continuous.
¿Cuándo se usa el Present Continuous?
Este tiempo se utiliza generalmente para describir acciones que ocurren en el momento o situaciones temporales.

Verbos de estado (Stative Verbs)
Algunos verbos no se suelen usar en la forma continua.

Oraciones negativas
Para formar la negativa, se añade 'not' después del verbo auxiliar.

Oraciones interrogativas
En las preguntas, el verbo auxiliar se coloca al principio de la oración.

Reglas de ortografía para -ing
Al añadir -ing al verbo, se aplican algunas reglas ortográficas.

- A la mayoría de los verbos se les añade simplemente -ing
- Los verbos que terminan en 'e' muda pierden la 'e'
- En verbos cortos, la última consonante puede duplicarse
Puntos clave a revisar
Al usar el Present Continuous, comprueba lo siguiente:
- ¿La acción está ocurriendo ahora?
- ¿Has usado el auxiliar 'am / is / are'?
- ¿El verbo termina en -ing?
- ¿Es un verbo de acción o de estado?
Estructura básica de la oración
El Present Continuous se forma con el verbo auxiliar 'to be' y el verbo principal terminado en -ing.
