Present Continuous in inglese
In inglese, per esprimere azioni che avvengono in questo momento o che continuano temporaneamente, usiamo il tempo Present Continuous.
Quando si usa il Present Continuous?
Questo tempo verbale è usato generalmente per descrivere azioni in corso o situazioni temporanee.

Verbi di stato (Stative Verbs)
Alcuni verbi di solito non vengono usati nella forma continua.

Frasi negative
Per formare la negativa, si usa 'not' dopo l'ausiliare.

Frasi interrogative
Nelle domande, l'ausiliare viene posto all'inizio della frase.

Regole ortografiche per -ing
Quando si aggiunge -ing, si applicano alcune regole ortografiche.

- Alla maggior parte dei verbi si aggiunge semplicemente -ing
- I verbi che terminano in 'e' muta perdono la 'e'
- Nei verbi brevi, l'ultima consonante può raddoppiare
Come controllare il corretto utilizzo
Quando usi il Present Continuous, verifica questi punti:
- L'azione si sta svolgendo ora?
- Hai usato l'ausiliare 'am / is / are'?
- Il verbo ha la desinenza -ing?
- Si tratta di un verbo di azione o di stato?

Il Present Continuous si forma con l'ausiliare 'to be' e la forma -ing del verbo.
