Comparativos e Superlativos em Inglês
Comparatives and Superlatives
| Regra | Adjetivo | Comparativo | Superlativo |
|---|---|---|---|
| Terminado em consoante + y: o y passa a i | happy | happier | the happiest |
| Duas ou mais sílabas: more, most | expensive | more expensive | the most expensive |
| Alguns adjetivos de duas sílabas: as duas formas | quiet | quieter, more quiet | the quietest, the most quiet |
Formas irregulares
Decore-as.
| Adjetivo ou advérbio | Comparativo | Superlativo |
|---|---|---|
| good, well | better | the best |
| bad, badly | worse | the worst |
| far | farther, further | the farthest, the furthest |
| many, much | more | the most |
| little | less | the least |
O uso de than

The + superlativo
O superlativo leva normalmente the antes.
As ... as e not as ... as
| Estrutura | Exemplo |
|---|---|
| as + adjetivo + as | My phone is as fast as yours. |
| not as + adjetivo + as | Tea isn't as strong as coffee. |
| less + adjetivo + than | This hotel is less expensive than that one. |
| the least + adjetivo | It's the least interesting book in the series. |
